For both purified monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies, our standard Quality Control (QC) checks comprise some or all of the following as directed by the client:
1. Quantification at O.D. 280mn using an extinction coefficient of 1.35 for IgG.
2. SDS PAGE analysis (and subsequent Western Blotting).
3. Verification of assay performance, e.g. ELISA or Western Blot
4. Specific isotyping using commercial dip sticks.
Where more specific client verification of product is required, we can despatch a small (1-10ml) sample of confluent supernatant or test sample (100μl at 1mg/ml) of purified antibody to the client for ‘in-house’ validation. Scale up procedures will then be initiated following successful client feedback.
